Public Transit

Amtrak

Amtrak is a national passenger rail corporation servicing the United States and Canada. The Jack London Square station, located one mile from Brooklyn Basin, provides direct access to the following lines: California Zephyr, Coast Starlight, Capitol Corridor and San Joaquin. Connections to other regions are available from any of these lines.

BART

For travel between San Francisco, San Jose and the Easy Bay, Bay Area Rapid Transit provides fast service. The Lake Merritt station is located 1.5 miles from Brooklyn Basin and is on the Fremont-Richmond; Dublin Pleasanton-Daly City; and Fremont-Daly City lines. The 12th Street - Oakland City Center station is on the Fremont-Daly City; Pittsburg/Bay-Point SFIA/Millbrae; and Richmond-Daly City lines.

Bus (AC Transit)

The bus connects Brooklyn Basin with Oakland’s Uptown District, as well as numerous destinations throughout the city.

San Francisco Bay Ferry

Broadway Shuttle

The B on Broadway is a free shuttle service running from Brooklyn Basin to the 12th Street - Oakland City Center and 19th Street BART stations, with connections to the San Francisco Bay Ferry and Amtrak Capitol Corridor. Shuttles run every 10 minutes during commute hours.

Freeway Access

The 880 Freeway, adjacent to Brooklyn Basin, connects to the 980, 580 and 80 Freeways, providing connection by vehicle to the San Francisco Bay Area and wider region.

Oakland

Alameda

If you want to feel like you’re on vacation, Alameda is an attractive and charming community located within minutes of Brooklyn Basin which provides just that. The island has the appeal of a secluded suburb, with the access of urban living. Enjoy beaches, dining and shopping along Main Street, or rent bicycles for the day and comb the many sleepy, tree-lined streets.
